The Exercise View is an editable spreadsheet showing a days exercise.
Move around the spreadsheet using the arrow keys, insert, delete, cut, copy, paste and move lines as needed.
The currently selected cell is indicated by a white rectangle
To edit the current cell press Enter, or simply start typing to replace its contents. You can also start editing by double clicking on a specific cell.
Notes
- The totals may not exactly add up because the values are stored internally to many decimal places but the values shown are rounded to the number of decimals specified in the Options dialog, hence the values 0.3, 0.4, 0.4 would show as all zeros when rounded to 0 decimal places but still the total figure 1.1 would show as 1.
Entering your daily exercise
To enter your daily exercise first select the empty exercise line

Here we start typing 'sw b'

As you type the dropdown list shows the list of matching exercises in the database, the search works by finding words that match the first characters of the words you have entered so to find an entry with the words 'swimming breaststroke' we have entered simply sw b' to narrow the search.
Entries in the exercise search dropdown are sorted to show your matching favorites
first
,
then exercises that you have selected before
then other exercises. For exercises that have been used before the number of uses are
shown in brackets at the end of the name.
Continue to type to narrow the search until you can see the exercise you are looking for, once found select it by using the up/down arrow keys (or simply click on the entry) then press tab to go to the minutes field.

Type the number of minutes into the box

When finished press tab to complete the entry and go to the next line.
As you continue to enter your exercises in this way the totals are updated and summary information is refreshed.
If the exercise you are entering is not in the database then use the New Exercise or Quick Entry items in the exercise search dropdown.

The Quick Entry item allows you to enter a exercise name without
linking it to an entry in the database, when entering a Quick Entry you must
manually enter the value for the calories burned (since they cannot be derived
from the database). Use Quick Entries for exercises that you do not expect to use
again (one offs) so do not wish to enter into your exercise database. Quick Entry
exercises in your log are indicated by the
icon.
The New exercise item takes you to the exercise definition dialog where you can enter the details for a new exercise, this exercise will be inserted into the main exercise database and will subsequently be available for use when logging exercises. Use this entry for all exercises that you use regularly but cannot find in the master database.
See exercise Dialog for more information on entering a new exercise definition.
Editing lines
Existing exercise lines can be edited by double clicking on a cell or by simply starting to type to overwrite the contents.
Multiple lines can be selected using the usual process of selecting the first line then pressing Shift and either using the up/down arrow keys to extend the selection or clicking the mouse on the last line to select.
Lines can be deleted, inserted, moved up/down, cut copied and pasted using the available toolbar/menu options. Full undo/redo is supported so you can safely try things out knowing that you can undo the operation if you make a mistake.
Right click on a line (or group of selected lines) to see the available options

You can copy exercises between days by selecting the lines, choosing the Copy action (using the Menu option Edit>Copy, the toolbar button or the keyboard
shortcut Ctrl C) navigating to the new day using the Calendar then selecting
the insert point and choosing the Paste option.
Finder Panels
In addition to finding exercises by name directly in the speadsheet you can
use the various finder tabs to select exercises. To add an exercise from a finder
either select the exercise and press Enter, double click or drag and drop into
the exercise log.
